I am a lecturer in the Center for African Studies at Stanford University.
Prior to coming to Stanford, I completed my PhD in Media & Communication within the School of Media & Communication at the University of Leeds (UK), and was then a research associate on the “Media, Conflict & Democratisation” Project (Mecodem) at the University of Oxford (UK).
My interests lie at the intersection of media and journalism studies, postcolonial theory and African studies. I primarily write on the discursive nature and production of global media representations, with a particular emphasis on Africa.
